Are you eager but apprehensive about learning how to play soccer?  Or have you played before and want to get back into the game?  Then this class is for you.  We welcome women from all walks of life -- strollercizers and PTAers, tennis players and joggers, gym rats and shoppers.  It all evens out on the playing field!

 

 

The avowed goals of the program are to:

1. Teach you the game of soccer.
2. Teach you the game of soccer so that you can play it with your kids without them laughing at you.
3. Teach you the game of soccer so that when your kids are dying of exhaustion in the fourth period, you'll appreciate the effort.
4. Give women another athletic outlet besides the gym and the tennis court.
5. Give women, many of whom were out of school when Title IX was passed, the experience of playing a team sport.
6. Give a bunch of cool women the opportunity to socialize with other cool women without the pretext of having their kids around.
7. Give women another outlet to boost their self-esteem.

Perhaps you're thinking, “Aren’t I too old to learn?” “Won’t I be klutzy out there?” “Won’t I get hurt?” The answers to the first two questions are a resounding, NO WAY.  On our very first morning, after a few simple instructions on footwork and some dribbling drills, you will begin to scrimmage…and score goals.

 

Wear cleats or sneakers, take your kid’s shin guards and be prepared for the most fun you can have without laughing (which you’ll do plenty of as well). It’s an unbelievable work-out guaranteed to get you in the best shape of your life. More importantly it is fun fun fun. Come on out and give it a shot!
