


FALL BASEBALL IS BACK - Ages 7-11

When you see our lineup of fantastic coaches (below,) you will agree that this is not to be missed!
We are calling this a league, but it will run more like a clinic with about 30-40 minutes of instruction to improve skills and then about an hour of scrimmage. Beginners to baseball are welcome! Coaches will decide the makeup of teams and will mix ages and abilities to make them fair so that everyone will have fun.
Date: 5 Sundays 9/20, 9/27, 10/4, 10/11, 10/18, 10/25 reserved for rain makeup)
Time: 3:00 – 4:30 pm
Place: Moretti Field, Bible Street, Cos Cob
Price: $175 for five weeks including small groups during professional instruction
Bring: Glove, bat (if you have a preferred one,) helmet, water. Please wear sneakers or cleats.

Coaches:
Matt Salmon – NCAA D1 infielder – Head Coach
Matt Salmon started all four years at both short and second for Division I, SUNY Stonybrook. After college, Matt was selected to play third base for the Williamstown Wolves, a semi-pro team in Melbourne Australia. There, Matt was also the assistant coach for their U-16 team and worked with pitchers and position players on skill development. He has also been the Head Coach of the Long Island Junior Ducks, an elite group of U-13 players. A multi-talented athlete, Matt turned down a full scholarship to play soccer at Northwestern University because, as he says, "my first love is baseball." He is currently completing his masters degree in Phys. Ed.
Dan McNamara – Professional and Semi-pro Infielder
Dan McNamara played middle infield for several professional, showcase and semi-professional baseball teams – most recently this spring with the Texarkana Gunslingers . Prior to being picked up by the Gunslingers, Dan was sent to play at the International Performance Baseball Showcase in Cocoa, Florida. He is currently a student at Mercy College where he will be the infield coach for the Fall 2009/Spring 2010 season. He still plays competitively as second baseman for the Hudson valley Pirates, a semi-professional team in the NABA. He has mentored younger players and enjoys helping them flourish has professional athletes.
Anthony Marino – NCAA D1 and Varsity HS Coach
Anthony Marino a former Division I player at Hofstra University, has been the Head Varsity Baseball Coach for Horace Greeley HS in Chappaqua for the past five years. He is extremely passionate and knowledgeable about the game and has coached baseball at college, high school and little league levels, including the rec program in Chappaqua. Anthony has a Masters degree in Phys. Ed. and confesses to love “all things baseball…” reading, teaching, coaching, and watching. He has attends baseball coaching clinics to further his knowledge of teaching the game. We are happy that Anthony will be returning to coach our Fall Ball program this year.
Sean Mayo – All FCIAC, GHS Varsity baseball
As a student at Greenwich High, Sean played baseball all four years on the Varsity team. During his junior year he received awards for being a scholar athlete, FCIAC Scholar Athlete of the Week and All FCIAC. He also won the award for offensive player of the year for the Stamford (CT) American Legion baseball team. During his senior year at GHS, Sean won the Graham Stone Competitive Spirit award, for outstanding behavior and commitment in education while playing a sport. In college, Sean continued playing in a wooden bat summer league in Stamford, CT.
