Greg McCarthy - NY Yankees, Seattle Mariners, Montreal Expos Need we say more? Former pro MLB player, Greg McCarthy, brings over 20 years of professional baseball experience to Greenwich 1-on-1. As a left handed pitcher, Greg worked his way through the ranks of the minor leagues until moving up to the majors in 1991 with the Montreal Expos. After a shoulder injury, Greg put in a lot of hard work, spent some additional time in the minor leagues, and then returned to the majors in 1996 with the Seattle Mariners. He pitched for the Mariners for 3 years until being picked up by the New York Yankees. Determined to continue playing after another shoulder injury, Greg joined the Florida Marlins, a AAA team. Now Greg gets great pleasure from sharing his years of knowledge and experience teaching kids the game. He has been coaching privately and teaching at Bridgeport Bluefish summer camps, clinics all around CT.
Dan McNamara - Pro -

Dan
McNamara played middle infield for several
professional, showcase and semi-professional baseball teams – most
recently this spring with the Texarkana Gunslingers . Prior to being
picked up by the Gunslingers, Dan was sent to play at the International
Performance Baseball Showcase in Cocoa, Florida. He is currently a
student at Mercy College where he will be the infield coach for the Fall
2009/Spring 2010 season. He still plays competitively as second
baseman for the Hudson valley Pirates, a semi-professional team in the
NABA. He has mentored younger players and enjoys helping them flourish
has professional athletes.
Matt Salmon - Divison 1 Stonybrook, Matt started all four years at both short and second for Division I, Stonybrook. After college, Matt was selected to play third base for the Williamstown Wolves, a semi-pro team in Melbourne Australia. There, Matt was also the assistant coach for their U-16 team, worked with pitchers and position players on skill development. He has been the Head Coach of the Long Island Junior Ducks, an elite group of U-13 players. A multi-talented athlete, Matt turned down a full scholarship to play soccer at Northwestern University because as he says "my first love is baseball." We are happy to have him on board to coach while he pursues his masters degree in Phys. Ed.

Ian Rainey- Former All American and Division 1- Bucknell University
Along with capturing All league and All State honors as a high school baseball player, Ian also led the state of Colorado with a .567 batting average. He made the Team Colorado USA Junior Olympic Team and led his team to a 4th place finish in the 2000 Junior Olympics. Ian went on to play at the University of California, San Diego- La Jolla, where he was a pitcher in the long relief, setup, and closer role while batting 2nd on his team with 2.70 ERA. Ian transferred to Bucknell University in his junior year, he pitched in the setup and closer roll and he was 1st on the team in Strikeouts per 9 innings (9.84). What Ian enjoys most about the art of pitching is combining its physical aspects with the mental components of setting up a hitter. Ian currently stays active by competing in triathlons.
